For faster response from the interface, copy the "Raunch" application icon located on the CD to your start-up hard disk.
Also, to playback Raunch at 16-bit (16,000 colors) or 24-bit (16.7 million colors) you must increase the memory allocation of the "Raunch" application.
To determine if you have enough memory on your system to play the "Raunch" interface:
1) Go to the Finder and select "About this Macintosh" in the "Apple" menu.
2) Check the "Largest Unused Block:" when the only application showing is "System Software".
3) You can set the memory allocation to a size roughly 300k smaller than the unused block.
Note: Be sure that you leave approximately 300k available for system overhead or the interface will work but the movie will not play.
To increase the memory allocation:
1) Raunch must be copyed to your hard drive.
2) Select the "Raunch" icon and select "Get Info" from the "File" menu.
3) Select and change the "Preferred size:" to:
16-bit (16,000 colors) = 6000
24-bit (16.7 million colors) = 8000
3) Close the window and double-click the application.
To install Quicktime 2.0:
1) Determine which version of the Quicktime extension currently installed in your system by:
a) Open the Extensions folder (found in your System folder).
b) Select the Quicktime extension and select "Get Info" from the "File" menu.
c) The the version is older than 2.0 then drag the Quicktime extension onto your desktop.
2) If your Quicktime extension was older and you dragged the old Quicktime extension to your desktop. Drag the "Quicktime" extension found in the The QuickTime 2.0 folder found on the Raunch CD-ROM to your System Folder.
